Taylor ‘ignored’ rebel protests

This article is about the ex-president of Liberia. Mr. Taylor, and how he’s denying the claims filed against him for helping out rebels in Sierra Leone, who did unthinkable acts, including mutilating and raping their victims, and even a few cases of cannibalism. He was also accused of sending soldiers to Sierra Leone in exchange for diamonds.
Reactions:
A) This article relates to the AP World themes because it shows how two societies interact with each other.
B) A few years ago, there was a civil war going on in Sierra Leone. Mr. Taylor helped out one of the rebel groups, the RUV, by sending over troops of his own. The Liberians helping the RUV, however, did some very inhuman things. But when the RUV tried to complain to Taylor, he threatened to pull out his troops.
C) The author of this article is unknown, but probably an outsider.
D) The author is obviously against Mr. Taylor, using words like ‘threatened’ and ‘atrocities’.
E) I would like to hear what Taylor has to say about these accusations and eye-witness accounts against him, or maybe one of the Liberians sent to help the RUV.
F) I think it’s horrible that people would do this to each other. Just because you’re fighting against someone doesn’t mean you can just rip off their limbs or…eat them. And Taylor denying that he did it makes it that much worse. People saw him doing it, so he should just come clean about these gruesome acts.

I think that it's ridiculous that people would eat each other,or do any of the other horrible things thhat were done. They are humans, not animals. Taylor should admitt to what he did, it makes it worse that he has been lying about it.
I completely agree with you. If the people are going to kill everyone, they are going to die anyway. It wouldn't make sense for the people to go even farther than killing them by...eating them... thats really nasty
