Summary

74-year-old Frank Phel was a tourist in Rome heading to Hungary with his wife. The suspected Italian man, who had talked with Frank and his wife, gave cappuccinos laced with drugs, including sleeping pills, to them. After the drugs took effect, this man robbed Frank. Later on that day, Frank wandered on to the railroad tracks at the Tiburtina train station. Unfortunately, Frank was then killed by a train.

Reactions
· This article relates to the AP World History theme, impact of technology, economics, and demography on people and the environment because people usually use drugs for negative purposes.
· The history of this issue is simply that people use drugs in negative ways, while the meaning of many drugs are for positive purposes.
· The point of view of this article is by a female who is most likely an insider.
· There is evidence of bias in this article because the author only tells the story from a police official’s point of view about the robbery. The author does not tell us any information from the robber and why he might have done this.
· The point of view from the Italian man who robbed Frank would be helpful in understanding why he did this.
· I feel that what this man did was a terrible thing to do. Not only should we not do these things, but we should also only use drugs for positive reasons such as medical purposes.
