2. Summary
In Northern Iraq, forty people were killed and six were wounded by a suicide bomb at a funeral. The funeral was for the nephews of a Sunni chieftain, and the suicide bomber attacked inside a tent of mourners. According to police, the chieftain was part of a Sunni awakening group, which are against Sunni extremists in Iraq. The attack occurred in Baquba, and was one of four attacked that had happened on that day in Iraq.
a) This article fits the AP theme "Impact of interaction among and within major societies." It is the interaction between Sunnis and Sunni extremists. Although they are the same society, they are two different groups of people.
b) This kind of problem has been occurring for a while, especially in the middle east. There was alot of extremism starting when the Iraq War began.
c) One of the writers, Erica Goode, is an American female who writes about human behavior for the New York Times. The other writer, Graham Bowley, is an American who also writes for the New York Times.
d) Since extremism is a horrible thing, I can tell by the way the writers are explaining it that they are obviously against the suicide bombers.
e) The missing voice in this article is from an Iraqi that was witnessing this, or if it was possible, the suicide bomber himself if they caught him. I would have liked to know his reason for doing a horrible thing like this.
f) I think that what the suicide bomber did was very wrong. It was bad enough for the people mourning the loss of the nephews, and now forty more people are dead.

wow that is such a horrible thing for someone to do. I agree, I would like to hear from the bomber himself...why did he have the urge to do that? I know how the Sunnis and Shiites are rivals against each other, but now the Sunnis are against the Sunni? wow before you know it, our whole world is going to be against each other.
