Summary:
Magdi Allam is a regular muslim person living in his society with a wife who is a catholic. Magdi Allam has decided to convert to a catholic to open the doors between the two religion and make better relationships. Before converting he felt that he had some near death experiences and he felt that if he did this it would make him safe. Magdi Allam wants to connect the two religions since Palestine wants to destroy Israel. Allam was converted by a pope at a big religious ceremony.

• This relates to the ap theme of cultural, religious and intellectual developments. This is because this is a major step forward for the two religions, Muslim and catholic, since now their relationships will be much better and this man has opened the door for a connection between the two regions.
• The historical background of this issue is the tension between the two societies. This tension has been between the two societies for a long time. Also That region was one of the only societies ion that area that did not take on Muslim during the post classical era when Muslim was expanding.
• The point of view of this article is from a man who is most likely catholic.
• You can see this because the writer keeps saying how Iran is very bad. Iran is Muslim. He is saying that the leader of Iran is like Adolf Hitler. This shoes how he thinks the leader in Iran is very wrong.
• This article is missing a point of view from a person in the Iran society. Since the writer is saying they are so bad, we should be able to hear from them and what they think about Allam converting to a Catholic.
• I feel that it is good that Allam has done a good thing in making a connection between the two religions. I feel this is a good thing to release tensions.
