II.
An all women protest went on where there were three rallies in Kathmandu and they were quickly stopped by police. They said that this was the biggest round up since Tibetan exiles protested in March. The protesters were wearing black arm bands and kept shouting "We want free Tibet." They were shouting this as they were dragged into police vans. These women will be held in dent ion centres and will be let out later. This type rioting started after days of protest after the anniversary of the failed 1959 Tibet uprising against Chinese rule.
III.
A). This article relates to the AP theme changes in functions and structures of states and in attitudes toward states and political identities, including the emergence of the nation-state because the change going on in this country is effecting the women which is causing the riots and it should be stopped.
B). The historical background of this issue is the rioting started around the anniversary of when they tried to up rise against the Chinese rule in 1959 however they failed.
C). The point of view of this article is from an outsider because this newspaper is in Britain and this event didn't happen there so most likely the writer didn't see what happen however there is a video attached to the newspaper article.
D). The author's point of view could impact how he is writing the article because he or she could feel that this is unfair to these women that they are being arrested however the writer did not give information really on why they were being arrested and the police's point of view.
E). The point of view missing from the article would be a police officer on how they view arresting these people if they think its wrong to arrest them or if they thing they have to because they did something wrong. I would also like to hear about how citizens feel about this issue.
F). I feel like this is very unfair to the women and they have no right to arrest them like that. I think the government should listen to what they have to hear instead of using violence to show their point.

I agree with Kaitlyn, it seems like the government is being too hard on the females in society and they should listen to their views and opinions instead of using violence.

I also agree with both of you, the act of arresting the many women in Nepal is a very unnecessary and ridiculous thing to do because they see their ideas as inferior, which is obviously no reason to arrest someone.

I think that it is wrong for the police to arrest the women for protesting. I think that they should have the right to protest. Here in the US, we have the Freedom of Assembly, meaning we are able to protest, so why shouldn't they?

I agree with all three of you. I believe that everyone should have their own say in things. If someone wants to protest they should be allowed. Everyone should be able to have their own thoughts and be able to make their own decisions. It is unfair for the government to regulate if people are allowed to protest or not.
