II. Thursday Israel took a stand at silence and ran sirens throughout the country as a tribute to those victimized during the Holocaust. On sundown Wednesday the whole country shut down any entertainment place possible and when the observance began TV and radio stations put their effort into focusing on the Holocaust. During this time drivers would turn their engines off and any people would take the time to stop whatever they were doing for two-minutes supporting those killed. It signifies the quarter-million Israel such as Teitelbaum.

A) This article relates to the theme of Impact of interaction among and within major societies. I feel this theme relates best considering the Holocaust started out with Hitler and any German followers and spread into other countries. they had other people accompany them in their killing and brought in other society’s to follow through with his dreadful deeds leading to millions upon millions of deaths.
B) The historical background of this issue would have to be the Holocaust itself. It occurred around from around 1933-1945. It was a time were a dictatorship of a man named Adolf Hitler came into power spreading the Nazi power killing millions of innocent people. The people they mostly detested was the Jews. Others such as slaves, soviet prisoners of war, and homosexuals also perished. The fraction was every two out of three European Jews were killed.
C) The point of view of this article can be evaluated as being written by a male, outsider. He is most likely American and is overlooking the topic in Israel.
D) The author’s point of view is more down to the facts. It seems he takes evidence from the evident and presents it in an un-biased manner. You have feelings of sadness from reading this article only because what you’re reading is unfortunately true and to some heart-breaking.
E) A point of view missing within the article would have to be one of a Nazi. I feel if this point of view was heard we could understand more of why this hatred and killing were spread during this time. To understand the killing you first need to understand the mind of the killers.
F) My understanding and insights of the article is that the truth hurts. It’s hard to know people went through such a tragedy. I felt the point of view from the Holocaust survivor was a good insight in the article it showed what an impact the overall experience of this issue impacted his life to this day. I feel regret knowing we could let things get this bad in order to succeeded perfection even in the weirdest and sickest ways.
