II Summary:

In July 2005, their was a suicidal bombing on a transportation system by three British Muslims. On thursday, there was a trial held questioning the people who were accused of planning the attack. The jury was shown a video that was kept a secret. In the video it showed that Mohammed Sidique Khan was the leader of the bombers. It showed Khan saying to his daughter, “I’m doing what I’m doing for the sake of Islam, not, you, know, it’s not for materialistic or worldy benefits.” Britain has many worries of terrorists now, expecially after September 11th and after the transportation suicide bombing. The men have all denied the charges against them. Umar Islam was one of eight people who was charged with conspiracy to murder and other things. He was in a 19 minute video that was shown to the jury on thursday. In his video, Mr. Islam said, “This is revenge for the actions of the U.S.A. in the Muslim lands and their accomplices such as the British and the Jews.”

III. Reactions:
A) I think that this article relates to the ap world history theme impact of interaction among and within major socities. It relates to it, because the British Muslims bombed Britain for the "sake of Islam."
B) The bombings were on the anniversary of the racially-motivated Bradford Riot. At 8:50 a.m three bombs exploded within fifty seconds of each other in the underground trains. A fourth bomb exploded at 9:47 a.m on a bus nearby.
C) The author is a Biritish male who is an insider on this article.
D) There is evidence that this article is bias, because the author states how Britain is fearing more terrorists acts, and how they can be in danger after 9/11 and the subway bombings.
E) The point of view that is missing from this article is the opinion of the jury. We should hear from the jury to see if they think these suspects are guilty with any charges.
F) I think that it isn't right for people to kill others for no reason. Many innocent citizens died that day because of a suicidal attack. There is no reason for someone to kill themself and others on purpose.

I agree with Danielle. I agree with this because it isn’t right for people to kill others for no reason. Many innocent people with lives, and families died or got severely hurt during the attack for no reason except for the terrorists doing it “for their religion”. It isn’t right to kill other people if they don’t believe what you believe in, and agree with your cause for doing it.
