II.
A march taken place in Johannesburg was organized by the Congress of South African Trade Unions. The leader of this union said that the protest will send out a message to people about the cost of living being way to high. These prices are making it difficult for an ordinary person to survive. About 5,000 people attended this march for support. Petitions were made to stop the high pricing of living. South Africans are not the only ones having trouble with food pricing. Some reasons for the cause of this is the growth of population in the world, and emerging economy rates in China and India. The United Nations is giving $500m in emergency aid.

A). This article relates to the AP theme systems of social structure and gender structure because the social structure in these poor countries show who would be able to afford living in the society and who is struggling to survive.
B). The historical background of this issue is countries like this have had problems with surviving and affording food for awhile and I think we as a stronger country should help them out.
C). The point of view of this article is an outsider because he is not a person that is struggling with surviving like the people in the newspaper article.
D). The author's point of view could be bias because in the article it sounds like he wants to help these people and thinks we should do something about it.
E). The point of view that is missing from this article is an upper class person in this society and how they feel on the high living prices and if they are struggling the same way everyone else is.
F). I feel that these people were right in starting a march because it helps show what they stand for and how they really need help to survive. I also think that more wealthy countries should help them out because its not fair to them.

I agree with kaitlyn in saying that these people were right to march for high prices of food. Most of this world is just interested in making money and how much they can get for their money, not helping other people out. I think that this author was right to support these people and put this article out there to show what its like not to have enough money to pay for the necessities and we should do something about it.
I completely agree that these people were right in protesting the high food prices. It is not fair that the cost of living keeps increasing, but not people's salaries. On the other hand, I disagree (under some circumstances) with Kaitlyn and Chrissy when they say that the US should step up and help these people with their expenses. I don't think many people realize that there are plenty of people right here in our own country, even our own town, who need financial help to buy things like food, as well. I think that it is a good idea to help other countries, but first we need to make sure that the people of our own county, our own neighbors and friends, are taken care of.
I'm going to have to agree with Kaitlyn on this one too. She is absolutly right with saying that these people has a right to do so. Its not right that these people are underprivaleged. As Kaitlyn said other countries should help this country out so that it can survive and make it through these hard times.
