Summery: May elections in Serbia were called after the interpretation of Kosovo’s independence affected the EU membership. The European Union instead used political leaders by shunning isolationism and joining the bloc. Democrats soon became insistent of the EU membership and soon Kosovo was finally recognized. Now these countries were un-united and didn’t have joined policies. In February, Serbia declared independence and soon enough Serbia made Kosovo’s move illegal under the international law. When Kosovo’s moves had been issued when Serbia realized there would be a better chance to fight for territorial rights if it was no isolated. The proposal was accepted so that it would be put into elections immediately.

Reactions:
A) I think this article relates to the AP World History theme of state-building, expansion, and conflict. I feel this because after the EU membership was taken as a disadvantage the idea by Kosovo’s caused different ideas to occur and expanded the thinking and reactions of the Serbia and European government.
B) Even after the collapse and impasse over Kosovo’s independence there Serbia EU membership continued to be affected. There was even less stability in Britain’s foreign secretary. Now Belgium wants the security and same relationship as before.
C) This article is most likely written by a Serbian. This Serbian probably favors the election that will take place this Monday or Tuesday. They are an outsider of the EU ministration but will probably be able to participate in the elections as an insider.
D) I think the point of view on this article does indicate suspicion. While reading and interpreting this article it came to me that the author wanted people to favor the election to take place. It seems he or she favored the EU and the idea that they were coming back and taking charge for the country and benefiting the people for certain rights.
E) I feel a point of view that is missing from this article is one from a complete outsider. More of a person who interviewed and listened to the people who had no involvement of the issues accepted for the interest of what was occurring. With this voice I think I would have a better interpretation of what would be best for the countries.
F) In my opinion, I think the election is a very good governmental issue to go forward with. It gives a better idea of what the people feel and it could lead to help in the governments flaws and maybe even he expansion of the EU in other countries. Overall, I think the article did a pretty good job of explaining, quoting, and helping understand the complete situation of the Serbia government election.
