Summary-
Oil prices in the middle east has dramatically increased which has led to a rise in the cost of food. Many citizens are facing poverty because of this. People have been protesting and 34 people got arrested for starting a riot about the increased prices of food. This rise in oil is pushing middle class people into poverty. A few governments have tried to increase wages for jobs but it is barely helping. In Syria these high prices have effected everyone except the rich. Some people have all their income going to help pay medication bills for when there children get sick.

I agree with this article since the prices are rising so greatly. This is hurting society greatly because society can not afford these prices. I feel that soon the society will buy less and less oil and use it as little as possible.
Great choice of aticle, the issue of rising oil prices affects everyone and eventually, i think we definately have to find an alternative. Just think of how many things you buy aren't produced in the US, transportation of goods is costly, thus rising the price of basically everything. Unfortunately, many political leaders profit from selling oil and change may not be in the near future.
You picked a really good topic. I question what will happen to those of the middle class and how the strains of oil pricing will be resolved. The government may have increased wages, but what is to come of those in poverty when the wage increase is not helping? This problem is slowly becoming more and more of a larger issue.
