8 murdered by terrorist in J'lem

I. 8 murdered by terrorist in J'lem, The Jerusalem Post, March 9, 2008 http://www.jpost.com/servlet/Satellite?cid=1204546422275&pagename=JPost/JPArticle/ShowFull

II. In Jerusalem at a local high school a shooting took place that killed many innocent students at the Mercaz Harav Yeshiva . The terrorist was a Palestinian who killed 8 students and wounded 11 others. The police report that the gunman released rounds into the library where 80 students had gathered to celebrate the Hebrew month of Adar II. Many police officers heard the sounds of the gun and raced to the scene to see if there was a problem. When they arrived a massive gunfight broke out between the police and the terrorist, and the terrorist was finally brought down by a local IDF officer. "I heard an explosion and I quickly understood that this was gunfire," said Nuri Davidov, 21. "We hid in a room and, from a window, we could see the terrorist opening fire at other students." Fear was instilled in other students and they locked themselves in classrooms and hid under desks to avoid the crazed terrorist, but watched as their friends were being shot at and felt helpless. Hizbullah's Al-Manar satellite television station announced Thursday that an almost unknown Israeli Arab group called the Martyrs of Imad Mughniyeh and Gaza were responsible for the shooting attack. In Gaza city people went out and shot heir rifles in the air to celebrate the attack on the Yeshiva.

A) This article relates to the AP World History theme of Cultural, religious, and intellectual developments. This is because it shows the difference between cultures and what it can do to two societies. There is a lot of hate between these societies, and this attack was just one of many violent acts.
B) There have been violent acts between the Jews and Palestinians for a long time. Recently the acts of violence have increased and this terrorist thought that he could change it all by himself. Obviously it wasn't a good choice because he has ended up dead and the tensions still remain.
C) This article is written by three Jewish writers who are all most likely insiders.
D) I believe that the authors are making the situation seem very bad, because it is. If this was written by a Palestinian person it probably would have been cheering and supporting the effort by the terrorist. This is a horrible act and the author is emphasising on that.
E) I would want to hear from the leaders of the terrorist group that is responsible for the attack. I want to know what compelled them to do such a horrible thing to these innocent students. If there was a better reason, which is unlikely, then to just be killing Jewish people then I would like to know it.
F) I believe that what the terrorist did was cruel and unjust. He had no real reason to do such a horrible thing and I reach out to the families of the victims and wish them only the best.

Thank You for posting this article. I think that it is so wrong for shootings lie this to occur. Who would do such a thing. The martyrs resorting to killing young people probabl just to obtain attention. It is so wrong.
